I Am Here To Meet You Exactly Where You Are In Your Journey
⇒Pregnant?
⇒Postpartum?
⇒Not sleeping?
⇒Perimenopause?
⇒Menopause?
⇒Peeing on yourself when you jump?
Navigating exercise during any of these stages of life is HARD.
Welcome to the side of the internet where we take each of these stages seriously and we use exercise to compliment the stage of life you are in.
I am so happy you are here!
Hi, I am Amisha Lindsey, owner and coach at Amisha Lindsey LLC!
I am based in Houston, Texas, and specialize in exercise during pregnancy, postpartum, and the menopause transition.
I work with women both 1:1 and in group settings (in-person and online). I believe everyBODY has the right to move in the way that feels good for them and that strength training should be accessible for all.
Ready to navigate exercise with confidence?
Exercising at any time can feel challenging but this is especially
true during major life transitions. It’s important to have someone on
your team who gets it and will provide accountability while understanding
that each person is unique and needs different things at different times.
If you have ever found yourself wondering things like;
- Is this safe to do during pregnancy
- Will I ever be able to run without peeing on myself again
- I have never worked out, how do I even begin
Then you are in the right place and I can’t wait to connect!
Why I Champion Womens Fitness
I have been where you are.
I had my daughter in 2016 and it was a really hard transition for me. All of a sudden I was a new mom who was nursing, not sleeping, and struggling with postpartum anxiety (but not understanding what was happening). I desperately wanted to exercise and feel like myself again.
During this time there really wasn’t very much information or guidance for returning to exercise after having a baby. Like most, I was cleared at 6 weeks postpartum and sent back to the gym with no idea how to navigate the expectations that I should be able to do what I had always done.
I quickly noticed all the gaps that existed in the fitness world, a world I had been a part of my entire life. All of a sudden, it was the norm that I would just have to wear black and pee on myself during a workout or feel pressure with lifting. Even though I was a coach I didn’t know how to help myself.
My postpartum experience is what prompted me to learn everything possible about how to support women through movement during major seasons of life.
