I had my daughter in 2016 and it was a really hard transition for me. All of a sudden I was a new mom who was nursing, not sleeping and struggling with postpartum anxiety (but not understanding what was happening). I desperately wanted to exercise and feel like myself again. During this time there really wasn’t very much information or guidance for returning to exercise after having a baby. Like most,I was cleared at 6 weeks postpartum and sent back to the gym with no idea how to navigate the expectations that I should be able to do what I had always done.
I quickly noticed all the gaps that existed in the fitness world, a world I had been a part of my entire life. All of a sudden, it was the norm that I would just have to wear black and pee on myself during a workout or feel pressure with lifting. Even though I was a coach I didn’t know how to help myself. I am forever grateful to have found people like Brianna Battles and Haley Shevener right when I was on the verge of throwing in the towel. After becoming a pregnancy and postpartum athleticism coach I decided that I wanted to be the person I needed during that time.
I am here to help you bridge the gap and meet you wherever you are in your journey.
